Infants
Our infant suite provides the highest quality care in an environment that is designed with the parent and child in mind. While in our care, children are stimulated through music, exercise, outdoor blanket time, facial and verbal mimicking as well as lots of hugs and tickles.

Safety and health are top priorities. We have separate rooms for babies, one for young infants and the other for older infants who are beginning to crawl. These rooms give the younger infants a protected environment and provides the older infants the freedom to explore and more opportunities for developmental activities.

To help maintain the cleanliness of the room, our staff and parents wear foot booties to eliminate outside dirt and debris. We provide each child with a crib; clean sheet and blanket laundered daily, and a drawer for their personal items. Toys are sanitized as needed throughout the day as well as every evening.

Supplies provided by the parent include six to seven disposable diapers per day, along with any needed diaper cream or powder; a change of clothes; bottles filled with formula or mother’s milk labeled with the child’s first and last name and dated.

We give each child love and attention and provide parents with daily reports on feedings, diapering, and napping. Healthy growth and development is another top priority at Children’s Palace Child Development Center. All our caregivers obtain First Aid and CPR training along with many hours of State required education to help ensure your child’s well being.

You will have peace of mind that your child is in good hands with Children’s Palace CDC.

Toddlers
At this age, children are meeting new challenges as fast as they come. Crawling, walking and eventually running are levels they accomplish in what seems like a blink of an eye. They are learning new social skills and with that comes a new level of emotions. The Children’s Palace Child Development Center toddler program is developed to provide hands-on activities that allow children to explore, inquire, and discover solutions first hand.

The Children’s Palace Child Development CenterToddler Program develops the emotional and educational environment created in the infant suite. Active Learning for Ones provides hands-on activities that allow children to explore, inquire and discover solutions first-hand. As a toddler, your child is learning so many new and exciting things. From the early stages of crawling, to those beginning steps, they have been experimenting and meeting new challenges daily. New social skills and emotions are developing during interaction with other children, resulting in a brand new phase of communication. Their activity level expands and their mobility strengthens to the next level of development.

Our Toddler program follows a daily lesson plan, in an effort to meet all your child’s developmental needs. The Active Learning lessons focus on building language, creativity, fine and gross motor skills, and social interaction. A written Daily Report is given to update each family on curriculum involvement, meal times, nap times, toilet training, and other daily activities. Our goal is for your toddler to mature into a preschooler ready, willing, and able to take the next step toward positive and healthy development.

Preschoolers
The Children’s Palace Child Development Center Curriculum for preschoolers provides children with an array of individual, and small and large group activities. Each week children will explore a theme through group time introductions and reviews, daily enrichments, and additions to each learning center.

Preschool children are beginning to prepare for the elementary school years. As professionals, the teachers at Children’s Palace Child Development Center provide a structured learning environment so each child will have a strong foundation.

Because preschoolers like to learn new information and have the desire to master new tasks, much of what your child learns will be through self-directed experiences. Throughout the day children will have the opportunity to explore the classroom’s learning centers: Blocks & Building Design, Dramatic Play, Library & Literature, Math & Table Activities, Music & Movement, Sand & Water, Science & Discovery, and Writing Exploration. Learning through play, in these clearly defined areas of interest, promotes independence, fosters decision-making, and encourages hands-on involvement. Each learning center engages the child’s core components of development: social-emotional, language, cognitive, physical and aesthetic. Children’s Palace CDC recognizes the importance of combining a well-designed curriculum with age appropriate learning centers and understands how these two classroom components contribute to each child’s development.

Our outdoor activities are planned to help extend learning to the outside classroom. Just as small muscle coordination is strengthened through puzzles, painting, and cutting, large muscle coordination is developed through outdoor play. Learning cooperation and team building through games and planned activities helps the preschool child understand effective physical and emotional management with his peers. Of course, sometimes just swinging and sliding are all children need to do and we take care of that with our state-of-the-art and age appropriate playground equipment.

Each child develops at their own pace and we encourage communication between staff members and parents on the progress of their child. Daily reports or weekly newsletters from the classroom teachers update parents on activities, future class projects and field trips.

Before/After School
In many families, both parents work, making after school programs critical during the school year and particularly during school holidays. For children ages 6 to 12, Children’s Palace CDC offers what parents are looking for - a safe environment for additional learning/study time and supervised activities.

Many families must choose a program that fits their child’s year-round schedule as it pertains to elementary school, summer activities and holidays. Children’s Palace CDC uses a Monthly Idea Calendar that offers daily activity suggestions.

Our before and after school program offers the school-age child a welcomed break from the structured academic learning to a variety of Activity Zones to further enhance a child’s creativity, problem-solving, and decision making skills. In our fun, productive and supervised environment each child also has the opportunity to develop special friendships.

By meeting with parents, our teachers can determine what each child requires after school. Perhaps an older child needs more help in order to complete homework assignments, or a younger child may need special tutoring in reading or math. This also is a good time to let the children learn more about computers, which are available at the center. But our teachers know that after a busy day at school, children need time to play. Supervised playgrounds are divided by age groups and give each child the chance to direct that special energy only children have. Plus, there is a separate game room for older children.

The Children’s Palace CDC school age program is designed to extend your child’s academic learning from the traditional classroom setting into our quality learning center.
